matter who you are, what you've done, where you've been . . . He still loves
you.John
3:16-17 says:
For God so loved the world in this
way:He gave His One and Only Son, so
that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.For God did not send His Son into the world
that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
There is no one, including you, who is beyond the reach of
God's grace and mercy.But it does
require something of you to begin this relationship with God.Jesus, the One of Whom the verses above
speak, said in John 14:6, "I am the Way, the Truth,
& the Life.No one comes to the
Father except through Me."
What's required of you is an acknowledgement of your sinful
condition.It's simply a confession that
you are sinful, separated from God, and cannot do anything to change that in
your own strength.Then, submit to Jesus
as the Lord & Savior of your life.This is not just a feeling nor is it a formula.It is the beginning of a relationship with
your Creator, the very One Who looked upon ALL of us with in our sin and
depravity and came to rescue us.Would
you surrender to Him right now??
A simple model prayer
God, I am a sinner and can do nothing to change that.I need Your help.I am asking Jesus to come into my life as my
Lord & Savior, so that I can begin to live for YOU today. Thank you for
your forgiveness and for your promise that You will never leave me or forsake
me.
